Time to Lobby for GMO Labeling on Food Products NOFA

gmo labeling

Today as New Mexico announces a push for labeling Genetically Modified foods in that state,  Elizabeth Henderson of NOFA-NY wrote.

“It is time to get some energy back up to push for GMO labeling in NYS too! Two of the NOFA chapters are fairly far along with legislation in their states – Vermont and Connecticut.  There is help available to get the most effective language.  NYS Assembly Member Crystal Peoples-Stokes is willing to sponsor labeling legislation.  Anyone willing to help?  NOFA policy energy this past year has been directed at stopping fracking.  We need reinforcements to take on more!”
